Preventative Care

Return to Home

The main reason for deworming and vaccinating on a regular basis is for the overall health of the horse. An added benefit is the fact that it is much less expensive to do preventative care than to treat a horse for a disease, including the time the owner is unable to use the horse, the cost of medications, and the possible suffering the animal may endure such as in case of colic.

Horse owners may want to participate in
Pfizer's Program

Please contact our office at 505-898-3065 for current preventive care options, types of vaccines, and vaccine schedules suggested for horses in our area, including West Nile Virus, as these may change over time.
