New Mexico Equine, Inc. primarily
provides Veterinary Diagnostic and Surgical Services for Horses
Dr. Stephen Derwelis, Dr. Marissa Curtis and their staff provide many diagnostic services for the equine owner. With the aid of state-of-the-art equipment, we provide Lameness Evaluations, Pre-purchase Examinations, Digital Radiography (Eklin X-ray), soft tissue Digital Ultrasound, Racing consultations, Endoscopy, Gastroscopy, and Laboratory tests.
Our hospital staff routinely perform Arthroscopic and other
Orthopedic surgeries, Cryptorchid castrations, Laproscopy, and other
major and minor operations in our surgical facility. Dr. Derwelis
has invested in medical equipment with the latest technologies in order
to provide the highest quality medical care for his clients and those
of referring veterinarians. Our staff routinely attend continuing
education seminars, and we strive for highest quality veterinary care
and provide written evaluations and follow-up instructions for owners,
trainers, farriers and referral veterinarians.
Other services include treatment of equine patients for routine preventive medical care, including vaccinations, physical examinations, dental care (including power float), reproductive care, and parasite control.
